Mario barrientos

Mario Barrientos, a natural athlete, was born in Santiago, Chile. While growing up, he competed in a variety of sports such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, rugby, and even athletics. He managed to not only participate but also succeed in multiple categories due to his strong passion for sports and determination to accomplish personal goals. In 2016, Mario moved to the U.S. to obtain his bachelors and master’s in accounting. He discovered Pickleball in 2019 and, even though he doesn’t have any paddle or racquet experience, he turned PRO in late 2020.
Mario has managed to win several gold medals at the amateur level in multiple tournaments specially in the West coast. Since he turned PRO, some of his biggest accomplishments include beating the Johns brothers at the PPA Las Vegas Open in 2021, taking 5th place at the 2022 PPA Arizona Grand Slam in men’s doubles, and taking 4th place at the 2022 PPA Red Rock Open in men’s singles.
While managing a family, college, and being a professional pickleball player, Mario has shown his determination to succeed while working hard to go up the national rankings. He’s a proud member of the Hudef team and consistently represents what our brands stands for.
